In loving memory of Zoeanne Bartlett, a radiant soul whose warmth embraced all who crossed her path. On June 5, 2024, she peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a symphony of kindness, resilience, and unwavering love. Born in Corsicana, Texas, on June 9, 1952, Zoe’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of work, friendship, and boundless compassion. Her days were filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As a dedicated Marketing Manager, Zoe poured her talents into projects like chef luncheons, planning food expos and golf tournaments, and expanding The Special Spirit publication, leaving an indelible mark on Ben E. Keith Company. She was known far and wide from Albuquerque to Little Rock and Oklahoma City to Houston and left an unforgettable mark on everyone she encountered. Her warmth and genuine interest in others meant she never met a stranger. Zoe paid meticulous attention to every detail, whether it was for her coworkers or the valued customers she served. But beyond her professional achievements, it was her passion for church, art, friends, and her beloved Louie that brought her the most joy. Zoe attended high school in Mesquite, Texas, and then college at The University of Texas at Arlington working her way to a BA is Fine Arts. Despite her initial aversion to accounting, she always said that she didn’t like accounting, but she was good at it. She worked for her stepfather in his private practice for a number of years. Married twice and divorced twice, Zoe never had children of her own. However, her love extended to her two stepchildren Tiffany and Dan, whom she cherished deeply. Recently reconnected, these bonds brought her immense joy. Zoe’s smile could light up any room, and her wisdom flowed freely. Whether discussing her passion for art or recounting Ben E. Keith’s history, she was a wellspring of knowledge. Ask her about people or events, and she’d recall them effortlessly, her laughter echoing through the room. She never hoarded secret jokes; instead, she shared them generously, inviting others to join in the merriment. She was an active member of the Women at the Well community group, faithfully attending church whenever her health permitted. When she couldn’t be there in person, she tuned in to the online services. Her cherished “church ladies” became part of the close-knit “framily” Zoe embraced throughout her life. Whether among her church friends or colleagues at Ben E. Keith, everyone affectionately referred to her as “feisty.” Zoe is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Reed, her aunts Betty and Wanda and uncles, Bill and Bobby and her cousin Russ. She is survived by two cousins Becky and Laura, Russ’s wife, Sherri and her 2nd cousins, Brandon, Max, Cristina and Ryan. She will be greatly missed by so many Ben E. Keith friends and church friends that she considered family. In memory of Zoe, may your world be painted in bold strokes.
