Shanna Nutt

Shanna DeLane Nutt went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana. On October 8, 1973 Shanna DeLane Nutt was welcomed into this world by her loving parents, Joan and Dell and her doting older sister, Shae. On that beautiful day numerous lives would be forever blessed by the gift of Shanna. Shanna loved Jesus, her family, cake and her soap operas. She always enjoyed time with loved ones but was sure to make it clear that she would need access to a quite room to watch her shows if there happened to be a schedule conflict. With the wonder of an innocent child, a quick and clever wit that kept everyone on their toes, along with a heart that purely reflected perfect love, Shanna was an angel sent to us straight from Heaven, on loan, from God. Her smile was as big as Texas and as bright as the sun. Each time Shanna entered a room, she unknowingly lit it up like a glittering fire lights the darkest of nights. She lit our lives in this same way. Because of Shanna we learned patience, acceptance, and that most beautiful form of unconditional love. Shanna taught us that happiness comes from within and is not dependent on outside circumstances. Shanna defined joy. A quick search of the meaning of the name Shanna confirmed what we already knew to be true: "old and wise" and "God Is Gracious". She was certainly wise in ways that were far beyond her years and there is no doubt that God is gracious. We are grateful to Him for our angel and how abundantly blessed we have been by Shanna's presence in our lives. Though our hearts are hurting, we know that she has returned to His loving arms, she is whole in Him, and Heaven is surely brighter than it has ever been. I hope she saves us some cake. Shanna was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, H.G. (Tubby) and Odera Henson; paternal grandparents Floyd and Edna Mae Nutt. Shanna is survived by her parents, Floyd Dell and Joan Nutt of Eureka; sister, Shae Allbritton and husband Brian of Canton; nephews Stetson Heathcoat of Jacksboro and Skylor Allbritton of Canton and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of beloved friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 12:00 - 1:30pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with Bro. Randall Evett officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt Jenkins, Mark Lee, Tracy Jock, Bob Pritchett, Rocky Shepherd, Chad Bingham and Sean Kays.
