Pedro Gonzalez

Pedro “Pete” Gonzalez, 57, of Tool, Texas, left his earthly body on November 20, 2020. He was born on August 8, 1963 in Corsicana, Texas, the 5th of seven children born to Beatrice and Domingo Laing Gonzalez. Pete attended Blooming Grove schools through the 8th grade but moved with his family to Corsicana in the 9th grade, attending and graduating Corsicana High school in 1981 where he made his many lifelong friends. He later attended TVCC in Athens. Pete spent years working at Jetco and Guardian before making the transition to BioLab and then DC Logistics and ending his career at Semi-Trailer Big Box. The first light in Pete’s life was his daughter, Brittany, whom he was so proud of and loved deeply. Pete married the love of his life, Fairy Moody on May 24, 1998 in Tool, gaining two additional children, Andrea and Gary. Pete was also an avid music lover. He attended unlimited rock concerts beginning in high school and during the past 10 years, began a massive collection of albums, 45s, cassettes, 8 tracks, cassette players, and turntables which he hoped to display and sell during his retirement years. Every weekend, he could be found at estate sales, antique stores, record stores, or Canton, hoping to come across a spectacular addition to his collection. He and Fairy also spent numerous years traveling and attending concerts every chance they got. Pete was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Tool, Texas. He loved people in general. He was a great friend to anyone that knew him. Most importantly, he loved his family and loved spending time with them whenever the chance arose. Pete is survived by his wife Fairy Gonzalez (Tool, TX), children Brittany Gonzalez (and fiancé Will McCoy) West Feliciana Parish, LA, Andrea Gray (and husband Matt) Alford TX, Gary Hartley (and wife Maria) Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Braylon, Baylee, Railey, Carson , Evita, Anali, and Gary Michael, as well as two great grandchildren. Pete is also survived by his mother Beatrice Segovia Gonzalez, Tool, TX; siblings Diana Gonzalez, Madison, WI, Frank Gonzalez, Tool, TX, Paul Gonzalez (and Dalia), Corpus Christi, TX, Ofelia “Molly” Corrington (and Matt), Corsicana, TX, and Domingo Laing Gonzalez, Jr., Dacono, CO. Pete was a loving uncle to Yvonne Schofield, Angelo Gonzalez Jr., Cody Taft, Ambree Christy, Maritza Gonzalez, Eleazar Gonzalez, Nico Burns, and Gabe Burns. Pete also leaves behind numerous beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins and many friends whom he considers family. Pete was proceeded in death by his father, Domingo Laing Gonzalez, Sr. and his brother Angelo Gonzalez. Visitation will be 5pm- 8 pm Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Graveside service will be 10am Wednesday, November 25 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove with Angelo Gonzalez and Brother Steven Palmer officiating. Pallbearers will be Will McCoy, Matt Gray, Carson Gray, Pat Dickerson, Terry Watkins, Cole Christy.
