Holland Gregory

Holland Gregory, (Paw, Little Holland, Bubba), loving husband, father, granddaddy and great granddaddy passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on February 26th at the age of 91. Holland was born on October 22, 1930 to Holland and Kate Gregory on a cotton farm just north of Streetman, Texas in Navarro County. He attended Streetman Public School. Holland was a Korean Vet serving in the U.S. Army. He was a long time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Corsicana. After returning from the Army he met the love of his life, Shirley Jackson. They were married at the First Baptist Church in Richland, Tx. on November 11, 1955 and were married for 54 years. Holland was preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, sisters; Marie, Dannie Jay and Katherine. He is survived by his daughter and son in law Becky and Ronald Farmer, grandson and wife Brian and Tiffany Farmer, great granddaughter Brooklyn Farmer, and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at Griffin Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 1st from 5:00pm-7:00pm.Graveside service will be held at Birdston Cemetery in Streetman on March 2nd at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jen Mitchell officiating, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, Cancer Society or an organization of your choice. We would like to thank his wonderful caregivers Shemaki Robinson, Beverly Baisy, Bobbie Walker and Minnie Lee. They gave such loving care to my dad. We would also like to thank Dr. Rodriguez and staff, Dr. Agarwal and staff, and Hand and Hand Hospice. Holland was adamant about mask wearing during these uncertain times. Please honor his wishes by wearing them during the visitation. My dad was my hero. We spent many hours these past several months sharing memories of days gone by and the days to come. He loved talking about cotton fields and his days on the farm. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and would have been such a wonderful great grandfather to Brooklyn if he had gotten the chance. Daddy is no longer in pain, no more worries, and walking the streets of gold with his Savior, wife, his parents and so many other family members and friends, What a glorious celebration there was when he entered those pearly gates. He will be missed dearly
