Gloria Mae Vick

Eureka, TX - Gloria Mae Vick, beloved Wife, Mother, and Nana, passed on from this Earth and joined our Heavenly Father on Thursday, the 11th of October, 2018, due to complications from cancer. Born in 1951 in Corsicana, Texas, to Mr. & Mrs. William Henry Jock, Gloria, known as Dodie to some of her family and Nana to her grandchildren, spent her life loving and taking care of others. Gloria was a Christian with strong faith in our Lord and Savior and was very active in her church . She loved the farm life of gardening, canning, bird-watching, fishing, and loved going to estate sales, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a very good cook and you could often find her making cookies with one or more of her grandchildren, or the Alan Jackson chocolate cake that was her specialty. Gloria will forever be remembered as having a kind, generous, and loving spirit. She is well-loved by her husband Ricky, who knew he would marry her the first time he saw her, as well as by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her grandchildren love their Nana dearly. Loved ones that will miss Gloria until they meet again are her husband of twenty-five years, Ricky Vick; her daughters, Regan Howze and husband JC Howze, and Leandra Biles and husband Nick Biles; step-daughters, Robin Barber and husband Keith Barber, and Patty Vick; grandsons, Jerrod Davis, Eric Stamey, and Eddie Barber; granddaughters, Jodie Tipton, Olivia, Layne and Cate Biles, Kellie Williams, and Ripley and Maiden Barber; brother, Buddy Jock; sister, Shirley McKinney; and many other family members and friends. Gloria was met in Heaven by her father William Henry Jock; mother Alice Mae Lumpkin; brother, Kenneth Jock; and many other beloved family members. Until we see you again, we will miss you always. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Gods Grace Country Church with Jeromy Mink officiating. Burial will follow at Eureka Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie Jock, Joey Jock, Paul Jock, Keith Barber, Eric Stamey, David Garcia.
