Crystal Michelle Barlow

Crystal Michelle (Matthews) Barlow passed away on March 13, 2025 at Navarro Regional Hospital at the age of 42 and is now resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord. Crystal was born on July 12, 1982 to JoAnn and Robin Matthews in Corsicana, TX. She graduated from Corsicana High School in 2000. Crystal will best be remembered by her family and friends for her outgoing personality, her joyous laughter, and her caring spirit. If anyone in Crystal’s circle needed help, she showed up without hesitation and provided support in any way she could. Crystal loved spending time with her family and spent a lot of time on her aunt’s ranch. She was always the first to hop in a feed trough so her dad could drag her through the mud. Crystal adored her son, Paxton, and her legacy shines through his kind heart. She could always be seen supporting him at his shooting tournaments. Crystal loved being around people and always worked directly with the public. Her most recent position as a hotel manager was her favorite. Meeting people from all different walks of life brought Crystal so much happiness. Even when she was off work with an injury, she called the hotel every day to ensure her clients were taken care of during their stays. Crystal was presented a Certificate of Appreciation from the Liberty Jump Team for her outstanding performance in March 2024. Crystal is preceded in death by her grandfather Mickey Matthews; grandmothers Jane Reddin Matthews and Sheila Lancaster; uncle Jamie Burnett; and aunt Kimberly Matthews. She is survived by her loving parents, JoAnn and Robin Matthews of Corsicana, Tx; brother, Christopher Matthews (Chrystel), of Corsicana, Tx; son Paxton Barlow and his father, Leslie Barlow, of Corsicana, Tx; grandfather James Lancaster of Fort Meyers, Fl; uncles John Burnett (Todd Ditmer) of Fort Meyers, Fl and Kelly Matthews of Corsicana, Tx; aunts Teresa Collins (Tom) of Lexington, SC, Teresa Burnett of Corsicana, Tx, and Shelly Kendall of Corsicana, Tx; and a host of cherished cousins. A memorial service will be held for Crystal on her family’s land in Black Hills on March 29, 2025 at 2 PM.
