Connie Lynn Duwe

Connie Lynn Duwe, 59, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away on July 4, 2026. Connie was born on June 29, 1967, in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was the daughter of Ronald H. and Betty Duwe. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew and loved her. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with them and loved them beyond measure. Connie also had a passion for crafting and dreamed of retiring one day to start her own crafting business. She had an incredible eye for decorating and paid attention to every detail, making everything she touched beautiful. Connie graduated from Corsicana High School with the Class of 1985, where she was a proud member of the Blue and Gold Brigade dance team. After graduation, she dedicated herself to raising her beautiful family while building a career centered on serving others. For many years, Connie worked in marketing and administration in the nursing home and hospice industry. She devoted countless hours to caring for residents and supporting their families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Her goal was always to ensure every resident and family felt comfortable, cared for, and loved. She formed lasting relationships with many residents, treating them as an extension of her own family. Connie loved her work and gave it everything she had. Never one to stop learning, Connie returned to school and proudly earned her Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree in May of 2017. Although her time with us was far too short, the memories Connie leaves behind are immeasurable. Her kindness, generosity, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to inspire everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved her. Connie is survived by her loving husband, Shannon Hargrove; her daughter, Brittany Griffin of Seattle, WA, her daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Marco Jimenez of Mabank, Tx. and their children, Paisley, Azzie, and Akilez; her son and daughter-in-law, TJ and Tiffany Griffin of Corsicana, Tx. and their children, Elizabeth, Landen, and Kasen; her daughter and son-in-law, Jamison Teague and Manuel Villegas of Corsicana, Tx. and their daughter, Isabella; She is also survived by her bonus children and their families Elizabeth Hargrove of Midlothian, Tx. and her children, Deryk and Lexy; Nick and Sarah Hargrove of Waxahachie, Tx. and their children, Nora, Ezra, and Goldie; Zachary and Cynthia Hargrove of Waxahachie, Tx; Her Father, Ron Duwe of Hawkins, Tx; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Donna Duwe of Hawkins, Tx; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Dwayne Douglas of Sulphur, LA; Aunt Donna and David Parker of Gardner, KS; Along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Lucy, Tito, and Sierra, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jane Duwe, grandparents Earl and Marjorie Carmickle, Ronald N. and Paula Duwe. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate Connie’s life will be held immediately following at 1:00pm. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory, celebrate her life, and share the love she so freely gave to everyone around her. Though Connie may no longer walk beside us, her love will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
