Alton Wayne Rash

Alton Wayne Rash, born on January 3, 1956, in Richland, Texas, to Clennon Alton Rash and Johnnie Armstrong Rash, passed away on May 4, 2024, at Medical City of Arlington joining the love of his life, Carol “Doodle” Rash. Alton's life was a testament to love, laughter, and a profound appreciation for the simple joys of life. He was a devoted husband, father, cherished grandfather, beloved brother, and loyal friend whose presence brought light and laughter to all who knew him. He is survived by his adoring children: Lacy Rash, Macey Zahn, Kindelle Gomez, Loki Rash, and his siblings: Chuck Rash and Carolyn Badararco. Alton's legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Kyra Zahn, Makinna Waugh, Maysun Gee, Elijah Gomez, Isaac Gardner, Kami Wilson, Easton Demoss, Elias Balderas, Esmerelda Balderas, and Daylyn Gee. He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Carol, son Dayly Gee and sister Patricia Ellsworth. Alton's life was marked by a deep love for his family and a passion for being a grandfather. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing, cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, and exploring new destinations through his travels. Alton was a skilled ironworker whose dedication to his craft was evident in every project he undertook. He was also a talented jewelry maker, his creations serving as tangible expressions of his creativity and craftsmanship. Alton's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter lit up any room he entered. He was a true friend, always ready with a joke or a helping hand to lift the spirits of those around him. His love for his dog was boundless, and the bond they shared brought him immeasurable joy. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor and remember the extraordinary life of Alton Wayne Rash. Alton's laughter, love, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
