June 5, 1949 - September 16, 2020
Rosie (Rose) was escorted by Jesus to her eternal home on September 16, 2020 at 9:55 pm. She was preceded in death by Carl Bridger, Jr.; Carla Renee Bridger, her brother Charlie L. Price and her parents, Nancy and Raymond Bromonsky. She leaves behind her husband E.L. Andrews, her beloved son, Raymond Bridger and wife Valarie, her grandchildren, Tiffany Rose Maldonado, Timothy Dillion Yleizah, Shelby, Josh and Patricia Hancock, Nathan and Nick Klobucar and Jagger Rhodes. She was also blessed with great grandchildren Allysa, Jacob, Anthony and Marissa Maldonado, Nova Reign Yleizah, Benjamin and Jasmine Hancock. She leaves behind her brother Ricky Price and wife Eva and baby sister Cyenthia Willis-Buchmeyer and husband Norris. She had numerous nieces and nephews; each one held a special place in her heart. Rosie had many friends, but the four closes to her was Gail, JoAnn, Pastor Alford and Theresa Smirl. Rosie lived a full life filled with ups and downs. Mother used to say “there ain’t no fence tall enough to keep Rosie in”. Life and circumstances formed Rosie into a headstrong woman with a heart full of love. She enjoyed playing all kinds of games from Yahtzee to Zelda- she was the kind of opponent that could tell you what dominoes you held (that’s why we didn’t play with her). She had an incredible gift for adding numbers and enjoyed making jelly, embroidering, coloring pictures and making quilts. During her working years, she was a beautician and salon owner. She was an “old school” beautician – the kind that developed relationships with her customers, they all loved her and she would even provide a ride for those unable to drive to her salon. Due to chemical overload, she had change to a new career and transformed into a “trucker”. She and her husband drove an 18-wheeler for a few years. During her last few years on this earth walk, she became a beloved member of the Mexia Skilled Center, where she quickly got involved as the Resident Council President, a voice for the ones unable to speak. She had many friends and tried to look after them. This was an attribute God gave her at birth. She always looked after her little brother and sister. She loved a good party; she enjoyed music and even played the drums for the church band. To sum up her life over 71 years would be an impossible task. It was obvious she loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends in a way that only Rosie could. She will be missed by all, but I know for a fact she is in heaven and one day, she will be greeting all of us with a big smile and open arms – probably saying “I’ve been watching you- what took you so long”! Her final words in my presence were “I feel Jesus’s arms around me- I love Him so much”. Until we meet again… Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2020 from 4-6pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
