Lance Edward Reed

April 7, 1962 - April 4, 2022

Lance Edward Reed, 59 of Frost, Texas passed away April 4, 2022. He was born April 7, 1962, in Dallas, Texas to Kennith and Joan Reed. At an early age, Lance moved to Frost where he graduated from Frost High School in 1980, then attended Navarro College. He was employed at Regal International in Corsicana for over 20 years, later becoming partner in Core Rubber and was most recently self-employed. Lance served on the Frost City Council as Alderman and also as Mayor. He was currently serving with the Frost Cemetery Association. Lance’s favorite hobby was deer hunting. He always looked forward to the fall and deer season. He also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. Lance is preceded in death by his father, Kennith Reed. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Reed; mother, Joan Reed; daughter Jessica Reed and her partner Tim Statum; brother Clay Reed and wife Debbie; brothers-in-law Jerry Drake and John Drake, wife Sara; nieces and nephews Amanda Martin, Zach Reed, Courtney Keith, Camden Martin, Kierra Smith, Jeremy Drake, Jeffrey Drake, Melina Drake, Tristin Drake, and Hagen Drake. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Griffin-Roughton. Burial will be at the Frost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Ballew, Cody Ballew, David Watson, Zach Reed, Caleb Martin, and Tim Statum.
