Kathy Gillen Campbell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kathryn Annette Gillen Campbell of Whitney Texas passed away Monday June 20, 2022. She was born June 14, 1959 to Jerald Hugh Gillen and Hazel Ruth Gillen in Mesquite Texas. They moved to Blooming Grove Texas when Kathy was a young child. Kathy’s heart and soul were her daughters, and her grandchildren. She was so proud of them, and they were her world. On June 6, 2022 Kathy celebrated 17 years of sobriety, a fact she was never afraid to share with anyone willing to listen to her testimony. She wanted her story to reach and help others in their journey to a clean and sober life. She was the most excited about welcoming her first great grandchild that will be here in December. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Jerald and Hazel Gillen, brothers Jerry Gillen & Johnny Gillen, sister Betty Campbell, her beloved daughter Megan Gillen, and nephew Jim Brown. She is survived by her husband Mike Campbell, daughter Leslie Latham and husband Rusty, her granddaughter Brooke Hall (her angel baby) and husband Corbin, grandsons Braydon Reed, and Cason Reed, Brothers Donnie Gillen and wife Peggy, Mike Gillen, Larry Gillen and wife Terri, sisters Lelia Brown and husband James, Pam Giese and husband Cliff, honorary daughter and granddaughter Rebecca and Jordan Crawson, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends that became family. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve McGraw, Thomas “Beefy” Oliphant, and Brandon Hays. A graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery at 10 AM Saturday June 25, 2022.
