Henry L. Owen, 81 of Malakoff, Texas passed away Wednesday morning, December 30th at his residence. He was born January 23, 1939 in Mexia, Texas Oppie R. Owen and Ella Belle Chote Owen. Henry worked in home construction and remodel installing flooring for many years while owning his own business. He is preceded in death by his first wife Reba Nell Smalley Owen. Parents Oppie Reed Owen and Ella Belle Chote Wedgeman Owen. Brothers; ELton Owen, George Melvin Owen, Glen Owen, Billy Joe Owen, Alton Reed Owen, Jesse Ray Owen, James Chester Owen and Bill Wedgeman. Sisters; Louise Wedgeman Anderson and Hazel Owen Kirksey. Son Timothy Wayne Owen and great grandson Kinsler Allen Davis. Henry is survived by his wife Charlene Chadwick Owen. Brothers; Modoc Owen, Alvis Wedgeman and Clifton Wedgeman. Children; Lorina and Raymond Cole, Ronald and Joyelle Owen, Rebecca and Terry Anderson and Warren (Tom) and Tracey Owen. 23 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren and numerous extended family members. Visitation will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be a Prairie Grove Cemetery - Limestone County.
