Dorothy Mae Hagen Chapman, 86, of Fairfield, Texas passed from this life on Friday, January 28, 2022, with her family at her side at Freestone Medical Center. She was born on December 25, 1935, in the Stewards Mill Community in Freestone County to Ole Palmer Hagen and Willie Ruby Atkinson Hagen. Dorothy married Robert James Chapman on September 28, 1956. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Alfred Hagen, Katie Whittington, Pauline Lane and Rose Whittington, and a son Rickey Chapman. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 65 years Robert James Chapman. Children; Carol Bonner, Robert Glenn Chapman, Debbie Nance and Misty McGinn. Sister Christine Glover. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6 -8 pm at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield. Funeral services will be Monday, January 31, 2022, at 2:00pm at the Dew United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Dew Cemetery.
