Donnie T. Mewbourn

October 21, 1941 - March 10, 2022

Donnie T. Mewbourn of Corsicana, Texas passed from this life on March 10, 2022 at the age of 81. He was born on October 21, 1941in Athens, Texas to Coy Mewbourn and Faye Bevel. He married Betty Mewbourn on May 17th 1974. It was on that day he gained two bonus sons. Together, Donnie and Betty were blessed with a daughter. Donnie worked many jobs providing for his family. He was an avid carpenter, taxidermist, and later retired from Tarrant County Regional Water. He was a very active in church and enjoyed Sunday hymns while playing his guitar. He had many passions in life, one being his love for hunting and fishing. You would also find him each spring preparing a garden. He would pamper it for months and share with those who needed it. Donnie cherished his family the most. He loved the holidays with all the kids and grandkids. He enjoyed spending countless hours fishing with his son, grandsons, and son-in-law who thought the world of him. Donnie is survived by his wife of 47 years Betty Mewbourn. Daughter LaDonna Harrison and Larry Sons Robbie Shelton & Terri; Mike Aston & Angie Grandchildren:. Garrett Don Harrison (Morgan Fry); Matthew Harrison;Tyler Harrison(Blair) Landon Harrison, Eden Harrison, Brandon Shelton(Paige); Logan Shelton(Hilary); Madison Shelton, Dean Shelton, Matt Itschner (Courtney) Charles Itschner( Olivia) Everitt Itschner, Landon Itschner, Skyler Itschner, Hudson Itschner, Travis Aston, Grace Aston, Jonathon Palos( Alona), Meagan Palos Bullard (Keys), Jordan Palos, Josephine Palos, Ambry Bullard, Clark Bullard, Bodie Bullard, Alyssa Diggs, Adilee Palos He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and friends. A man of God and loving as Papaw was; he will always be remembered by those of us who knew him and loved him. Although we will miss him, his smile, his stories, his love, we take consolation of our great memories Services are pending at this time.
