Donna Rose Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The Lord called Donna Dianne Rose (72) home on December 8, 2021. Visitation will be Friday, December 10, 2021 from 6pm-8pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana, Tx. With services on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10am in the Chapel at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery immediately following service in Corsicana, Tx. Officiating will be by Jeromy Mink of God's Grace Country Church of Eureka, Tx. assisting James Orler of Community Baptist in Corsicana, Tx. Donna was born October 27, 1949 to Larkin and Angie Coston in El Dorado, Ark. She graduated from Corsicana High School in 1968. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Rose Sr., March 28, 1970 in Terrell, Tx. Donna worked at Southwestern Bell for 5 yrs, in Texas and South Carolina where Jimmy was stationed with the Navy. After returning to Texas, Donna worked for Terrell State Home then moved to Corsicana and began working at Navarro Hospital, shortly after she began her 32 year career at Navarro College where she retired in 2012. Donna was a devoted member of Community Baptist Church in Corsicana, Tx. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Larkin and Angie Coston, husband Jimmy Rose. Sr. Donna is survived by her sister Linda Estell & husband Nathan, brother Larkin Coston & wife Kim, her son Jim Rose & wife Valerie, daughter Dawn Rose & husband Jeromy Mink. Her grandsons that she adored, Jonathan Rose & Colt Mink, also numerous neices and nephews. Pallbearers will be:Jonathan Rose, Chris Coston, Hunter Richardson, Tommy Griggs, Larry Hoppe, Earl Frye
