Deborah Dee (Debbie) Bridges, Scruggs, Watson passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 12, 2021. Debbie was born July 8, 1952 to Homer Ray and Marth Ann Bridges in Waco, Texas. She moved to Corsicana Texas in 1965 where she grew up and completed her schooling. she graduated from Corsicana High School in 1970. Debbie was married in 1970 to Edwin Scruggs and from that union they were blessed with tow amazing children, Darrell Shane Scruggs and Christian (Chris) Leigh Scruggs-Haley. Debbie went to work at a very young age and the last 43 years of her employment was with Collin Street Bakery Collin Street Bakery was her other home and family. She loved and was loved by all she worked with. She retired in 2019 but CSB was always in her heart and mind. Debbie's other "side" job was lovingly serving as secretary of the Navarro Count Volunteer Firefighters Association. She was so passionate about what these group of people do and so very honored to be counted a part of them. She loved them all as her other family as well. In 2001 Debbie was married to John (Sandy) Watson until his passing in 2009. They built a beautiful country retreat home in Rural Shade where they built and shared some wonderful memories. She loved him so very, very much. Debbie had a heart of pure gold and she shared that love with everyone. Her greatest loves were her family- Her children - Her grandchildren - Her great-grandchildren and of course her bossy but loving baby sister and her brother-in -law that picked on her and told her his version of I love you which was (I kinda like you). She also loved and adored her Fur Babies - Rowdy, Gracie, Millie & Molly. Debbie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in her early teenage years and was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Corsicana. She loved the Lord and she knew it was He that carried her through the heartbreaking and difficult times in her life. We are comforted knowing that she is there with Him and all her precious loved ones that have gone before her. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Homer Ray Bridges and Martha Ann (Bridges) Webb, her precious grandson - Briar Shane Scruggs, her loving husband John( Sandy) Watson, her step-brother Billy Thomas Webb, her grandparents, her Aunt Helen, her Uncle Q.L. and her great- aunts and uncles that loved her so very much. Debbie is survived and so loved by her son-Shane Scruggs and wife Lisa, her daughter - Chris Scruggs Haley, step-daughter - Barbara Watson (and children), her grandchildren - Josey Scruggs Oney and husband Josh, Wyatt Scruggs, Lucas Gilbert, Kala Haley, Kelsie Haley, Kole Haley and wife Taylor Norakas-York. Great grandchildren - Jameson, Jaxson, Remington June, Kayden, Aubree Grace and Raiden Levi. Her sister -Cindy Goodnight and husband John, step-sister - Debbie Webb Barkouskie, and sister-in-law Shary Watson. Her nephews John Goodnight and wife Kristy and their nine children and Justin Goodnight and wife Kris. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Debbie is also survived and very much loved by Edwin Scruggs and all the Scruggs family who have always loved her as family.
