David Michael Bennett, 18, of Kerens received his Angel wings Wednesday April 6, 2022. David is the son of Phillip & Holli Bennett and birth mother Emily Hobbs. David was born June 25, 2003 in Athens, TX. David was a Senior at Kerens High School. He was Active in the United States Army Reserve. David was a fun loving, energic, easy going young man that always had a smile on his face. David was full of life and outgoing, always ready for a good time with his friends. David was stubborn and hard headed but all of these traits are why we all loved David without fault. David is survived by parents Phillip & Holli Bennett of Kerens, and birth mother Emily Hobbs. Paternal grandparents Michael & Peggy Bennett of Trinidad. Maternal grandparents Larry & Mary Parr of Corsicana, and Joyce Hobbs of Sea Drift and Thomas Montfort of KS. Great grandparents Mary Montfort of Corsicana. Brothers Dusty Spence and Aaron Spence and half brother Caiden Hobbs. Sisters Brooklynn Bennett and Tayelar Bennett. Uncles and Aunts Matthew Bennett and wife Lacey of Malakoff, Christi Tucker and husband John of Kerens, and Tracy Hobbs of Sea Drift. David is survived by best friend Jacob Cox and numerous cousins as well as numerous close friends. Pallbearers are Cal Tucker, Zack Tucker, Jacob Cox, Rex Bonner, Addison Carter and Briar Greene. Visitation will be Saturday April 9, 2022 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be Sunday April 10, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Kerens at 2pm and will be officiated John Martinez. Burial will follow at Prairie Point Cemetery.
