Danny Castillo Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Danny Clay Castillo, 42, of Corsicana, Texas, joined our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 4, 2022. Danny was born in Corsicana, Texas, on April 4, 1979, and was a graduate of Corsicana High School. He was a longtime employee of True Value where he served as an inbound receiver for 16 years. Danny was known as Love, Mama’s Hercules, Dan, Danny boy, Nephew, Dude, and Bubba by the people closest to him. He was always the life of any party and loved his family and friends more than anything. If you were around him then you were surely laughing. He made it his mission in life to take care of the people around him. From being a loving son, a protective brother, a soulmate, a proud father, and devoted friend. He never judged anyone, he just loved them. Danny was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He is survived by his wife Tiffany Castillo, sons Ethan, Aaron, and Logan Castillo, his parents (mother) Yolanda Medrano and James Selman, of Corsicana, and (father) Clay and Trena Castillo, of Tyler; siblings Kristle Castillo, Kymberli Castillo, Jasmine Castillo, Leah Castillo, Alex Averitt Jr., Andy Kludy, Francisco Lopez, Heidi Elder, James Selman Jr., and Seceilia Selman; Grandmother Deena Bennett and many cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his sister the late Brittany Lynn Averitt, his grandparents Jose and Esperanza Castillo, Gonzalo and Jesusa Sendejo, Amos Bennett, and stepfather Alex Averitt Sr. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home (1530 N 45th St.). Services will be held Saturday, February 12th at 10:00am at the Cowboy Church of Corsicana (5864 W. Business 31), with Pastor Derek Rogers. Pallbearers will include Joey Castillo, Rene Castillo, Greg Lopez, Frankie Medrano, Gilbert Medrano, Bubba Medrano, Steve Haynie, and John Barber. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brittany Lynn Averitt Scholarship at Sam Houston State University that was established in his sister’s name.
