Clinton Thomas Coker (Jelly) age 94 of Richland, Tx passed away peacefully at his home on April 1, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born June 24, 1927, in Eureka, Tx to Arthur Thomas Coker and Annie Mosley Coker. Clint, or Jelly, as his friends and family know him, retired from the Texas State Highway Dept. in 1987 after 38 years of service. His closest friends in life were the guys he worked with and for the past few years we have had a reunion with many of them to celebrate his birthday. He loved playing softball and he played until the ripe old age of 60. He was 59 at the time of his retirement and enjoyed 35 years at home with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Randal Coker and granddaughter, Emily Hoffman. Siblings, Winston, Orion, Bobby, Floyd, Jimmy Dee, Lois McCary, and Betty Sanches. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Coker. His children, Peggie Coker of Richland, Sandra Coker Mitchell and husband Tim of McKinney, Carl Coker and wife Debbie of Centralia, Il, Larry Dyess of Richland, and Billy Dyess and Ruthie of Emhouse. His sisters, Genevie Paul of Palestine and Lillie Laney of Athens. Grandchildren, Lori Baugh, and husband Jason of McKinney, Haley Bradley and Jonathan of Nashville, TN, Brooke Sanchez and Husband James of Waxahachie, Edward Belyeu, and wife Shannon, of Nacogdoches, Scott Belyeu and Mari Ann of Nacogdoches, Michael Coker and wife Angie, Beth Tate and husband Billy of Centralia, Il, and Amber Coker of Centralia, Il. Great Grandchildren, Alexis Krantz, Laci Owen, Lucas, Landry, and Amelia Baugh, Haven and Hayden Belyeu, Isaac and Hannah Tate, Abbey Coker, Brian, and Kendall Sanchez. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, at 2pm at Richland Cemetery with Pastor Tony Stephens officiating.
