Brenden Ryan Cofer
February 15, 2002 - February 19, 2022
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9 The Lord has been with Brenden during his battle with cancer; and now He has healed Brenden completely. His brothers, mother and father were with him as he said goodbye to this world Saturday, February 19, 2022. Brenden was so loved, and he will be missed by those who loved him. He taught us how to be brave, and we will spend our lives honoring him in that way. Brenden Ryan Cofer was born on February 15, 2002, in Carrollton, Texas. He had the biggest love for life, family, and friends. He had a servant’s heart for the Lord playing drums in the praise band at church and loved the time he spent with his band family at Corsicana High School. Brenden will be missed everyday by his father and mother, Christopher and Jennifer Cofer; his brothers, Sean Cofer, Ethan Cofer and Phillip Halcomb; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Judy Cofer and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Harriett Albertson. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, 1530 North 45th Street, Corsicana, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Great Hall of the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 2:00 pm, 320 North 15th Street, Corsicana, Texas. We want to thank everyone in our community that has prayed for and supported Brenden and our family over the last three and a half years. Our family is in awe of the love that was shown to or our son. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in c/o Brenden Cofer at Community National Bank in Corsicana. These funds will be used to establish the #beatit Foundation to benefit young aspiring musicians.
