Betty Lou Northcott Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Lou Hartman Northcott was healed and went to her forever home on Friday July 22nd with her children and grandchildren by her side. Betty was born in Crestline Ohio on April 29th, 1945, to Robert Randle Hartman and Dorthy Hellen Virginia Westcott. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Mahlon (Shorty) Tate, her father and mother, and sister Carol. Betty is survived by brother Robert of Crestline Ohio and Sister Nancy of Galion Ohio, daughter Beth Faulk of Corsicana, daughter and son-in-law Heather and Brian Condley of Star Harbor, and son and daughter-in-law David and Kelli Conklin of Kerens. Grandchildren Bryan Adam’s, Brittney Wadsworth, Ethan Baker, Kallie Baker, Khiana Shannon, Brenna Conklin, Kendle Vitters, Haley Dunn, Ryan Condley, Graham Conklin, Daniel Conklin, and Andrew Conklin also 14 great grandchildren. Betty was so very proud of each and every one of them and loved them all dearly. Betty loved to work and serve others. She enjoyed her days as the dietitian supervisor at Maywood Manor Nursing Home in Kerens. Watching over the resident's diets was very important to her. She made it a point to attend funeral services of each resident she cared for. Betty then moved on to tcare for others in a different way. She cleaned homes of friends who invited her. All of her clients treated her like family and hated it when she decided to move on to another way of service. Betty then served Navarro County through the workforce commission it was very important to her to help the older people of the county get placed in employment that fit them. Later on, in life Betty found the love of her life Mahlon (Shorty) Tate. They met through karaoke and spent many nights together singing and dancing the night away. Betty absolutely loved music. They would spend the rest of their lives loving and caring for each other. Visitation Monday 6-8pm at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Celebration of life Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 10:00am at First Baptist Church in Corsicana.
