Tisha Renee Cormier

Tisha Renee Cormier, the giver of amazing hugs and beautiful smiles, left her deer stand and this earth on November 6, 2021. She was born on April 5, 1972 and packed a life filled with love, joy and positivity into her 49 years. Tisha loved living at the 55 Ranch in Rural Shade and being a cattlewoman. She was a crack shot with her gun and bow, as well as an avid fisherman (as long as the worm supply was good) Tisha loved all the animals and gave them all names, including “Big Toad” and “Jimmy Crack Corn” the squirrel. Tisha was greeted in heaven by her beloved granny Mickey Jones, her deceased father Tom Lewis and Mimi and Pa Lewis her deceased grandparents. Those who will miss her until they meet again are her mother Linda Davis, her dad Michael Pardee, her sisters Krystal Smith and Leah Mickie, her niece Amber Smith, her nephews Gauge Smith, Thomas Mickie and Trevor Neely and numerous other great nieces, great nephews and stepchildren. The Allen family, the Costner family, the Koonce family and the Pardee family where privileged and honored to count Tisha as a family member and are heartbroken to say goodbye. Tisha was loved by many and truly loved all the little children she ever met, giving them her undivided attention and adoration. Her best buddy, Gavin Koonce, also known as “Pea Picker” will miss the sleepovers and train rides with Miss Tisha. Tisha leaves behind her many families and friends in Virginia, who suffered through all of her stories about Texas while she lived there for 25 years. Tisha loved everyone with all her heart and soul and gave her Lord all the glory. Her angel wings were ready, but we were not. “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9” Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will escort her are her hunting buddies Chris Costner, Andrew Allen, David Koonce, and Billy Pardee, her nephew Thomas Mickie and adopted nephew Micah Dodds.
