Lt Col (Retired) Terry Lee Meneley A Celebration of Life, Leadership and Legacy Lieutenant Colonel (ret) Terry Lee Meneley passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 26th after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was completely surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born on April 22, 1957 in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Lancaster High School and attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas graduating with a degree in Mechanized Agriculture. Terry married the girl of his dreams, Cathy Thomas, in 1979. Their home was blessed with 3 exceptional children and over 27 years of happy memories. Terry entered the United States Air Force in 1987. He attended Officer Training School and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant beginning a long, honorable career that called him to challenging, interesting assignments including the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Terry served primarily as an Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Officer and was instrumental in the deployment of critical national strategic airborne assets to various conflicts around the world ranging from Desert Storm through Enduring Freedom. He developed expertise in International Training and represented the United States in the Office of Defense Cooperation, Ankara, Turkey. He was recognized with numerous awards and citations for his dedicated and meritorious service. Terry will be remembered for his totally selfless attitude, his quite humility, and his unending dedication to his God, his family, his friends, and his country. Terry?s life will continue to be celebrated by his wife, Cathy and children, son-Jason and new bride Laetitia, son-Josh and finance' Michelle Marsh and daughter-Janna and his deeply loving parents, John and Iva Corbett and parents-in-law, Ken and Ann Thomas, as well as the extended family, Jim and Beth Thomas, Dewayne and Sue Thomas and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Jarrod, Justin and Amber, along with numerous family members and friends in Texas and beyond. Family Visitation will be SEPT. 4 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be conducted on SEPT. 5 at 10am-Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home 1530 North 45th Street, Corsicana, Texas. Followed by the burial at 1pm/Lane A-Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas. Arrangements are provided by Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, 1530 North 45th Street, Corsicana, Texas.
