Patsy Franklin

Patsy Ruth Franklin, 86 of Corsicana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a housewife and a great cook, especially her "fried tators and red beans" Fred T's favorite. They always had a huge garden and she canned all she could, which was a lot. She loved spending time with her family. When the grandkids came along you could always find them spending the night or the weekend. She was always ready for a road trip, two wheels or four it didn't matter. Riding in the pasture or down a country road with the grandkids was her joy. She was a cool "Moped Moma". Other road trips were many miles with Fred T., either riding with him while he was working or our family vacations. She cherished our family vacations, especially to Galveston. Another road trip she loved was going to Hettie's in Hot Springs, Arkansas. When she couldn't go anymore she was always with us in our hearts. We always called her when we went through Gummy Springs (that's another story). On May 27, 2020 at the age of 86 she made her final road trip, the destination was her Heavenly Home. All of her trust and strength here on earth was from her Lord and Savior. Now she is resting at His feet forever. She will truly be missed everyday. Until we see you again. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bernice Clapper Edwards; her husband Fred T. Franklin and grandson, Bryan Franklin. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Charles and Carole Franklin and Travis and Brigitte Franklin; grandchildren, Robin Callahan, Jason Franklin and wife Mary, Justin Franklin and wife Michelle and Erika Franklin Stearman; great grandchildren, Morgan Evans and husband Brad, Wyatt Callahan, Micha Franklin, Kacee Franklin, Madison Franklin, Rylan Franklin, Mason Franklin, Michelle Franklin, Logan Franklin, Sara Bresnahan, Danielle Bresnahan, Cortney Cothren and husband Nelson; great great grandchildren, Kayden Evans, Brody Evans, Bryson Evans, Koda Cothren and Easton Cothren. Visitation will be Friday, May 29, 2020 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 10:00am Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Franklin, Jason Franklin, Justin Franklin, Wes Meredith, Wyatt Callahan, David Brown, Steven Brown, and Eric Krantz.
