Linda Diane Owens

Linda Diane Owens, age 68 passed away peacefully October 29, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. She was born January 13, 1951 in Corsicana, Texas to Frank Jr. and Mildred Chapman. She married her love Danny Owens in August of 1969. Linda worked various jobs in sales and retail. She was a Sales Associate at Withrow Furniture for many years and Managed a local Tanning Salon. Linda was a people person and enjoyed working with the public and made friends easily everywhere she went. Linda was a genuine good hearted person, beautiful inside and out with a vivacious personality and treated everyone the same. Instilling this virtue in her children to "Treat everyone the way you would want to be treated" and she truly lived by this golden rule. Linda was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren embracing every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Granny and doted on all of her grandbabies. Sitting the most beautiful example of unconditional love of family and faith in God. Linda truly was the best Mama and Granny in the world. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Jr. Chapman and Mildred Miller, brothers Keith Chapman and Doug Chapman, Aunt Sharon Threet and her beloved fur baby Ringo. Linda is survived by her husband, Danny Owens; son and spouse, Robert and Shelly Owens; daughter and husband, Kimberly and Terry Jacobs; brother and wife Dennis and Ava Chapman; granddaughter, Whitney Jacobs and significant other Christina Farrar; grandsons Stoney Jacobs and significant other Krystal Morgan, Jade Owens and wife Parisaw, Tanner Owens, Chase Moore. Niece and nephew and spouses, Blaire and Lynn Winstead, Eric and Kendra Chapman. Aunt and Uncle Herbert and Ruth Wilcox, fur baby Bella and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Best friends forever, Sherrill Bailey, Debbie Donnell and Sandy Owens. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, November 1, 2019 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Trinity Assembly of God with Rev. Richard Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at Eureka Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Whitney Jacobs, Stoney Jacobs, Jade Owens, Tanner Owens, Eric Chapman, Lynn Winstead. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Jacobs, Paul Jacobs and Brent Chapman. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Dr. Ronald Rodriguez and staff for their many years of care, the amazing nursing staff at Medical City Dallas and Community Hospice of Texas. The family is comforted and secure knowing that Linda is resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with her parents, Keith, Doug and Aunt Sharon.
