Juliet Davidson

Juliet "Judy" Davidson, 88, or Corsicana, passed away Sunday February 19, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Davidson was born September 4, 1917 to Wilma and David Weems. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday February 21, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Buddy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Davidson, Kyle Davidson, Garet Davidson, Jason Fewell, Danny Burleson, Mark Bianchi, Mickey McCain, and Bobby Brady. Mrs. Davidson worked for Texas Miller Products for 48 years. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and worked in many capacities throughout the years. She sent greeting cards from the church until December 2005. She was presented the Oak Valley Citizen Of The Year Award and was recognized for her service on the committee to construct the Oak Valley Community Center and Town Hall Building. She volunteered time, money, and prepared meals for clean up crews in the community. She served as an officer for the Oak Valley Crime Watch and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to sew, crochet, and quilt and gave her work away to show her love for others. She was nominated for Outstanding Citizen of Navarro County. She was loved for her sincere, considerate, caring and giving spirit. Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Harvie D. Davidson in 2000. She is survived by her son Bobby D. Davidson and wife Harriett; daughter Margie Talkington and her husband Richard; Grandchildren: Darrell A. DeRusha and wife Mary of Rice, Stephanie Burleson and husband Danny of Sherman, Karla Bianchi and husband Mark of Dickinson, Bryan ?Tig? Davidson and wife Debbie of Santa Fe, Tx., Kerri French of Corsicana, Ricky Talkington of Valley Ranch, and Donna Easley of Corsicana. Great grandchildren: Jinger Jones, Kelsey Jones, Jason Fewell, Natalie Hester, Jeff Davidson, Kyle Davidson, Garet Davidson, Katie French, Kelly French, and Hunter Easley. One great great grandchild Kylee Davidson. One sister Loretta Panter of Corsicana. Half Brothers: Rodney Weems, Richard Weems. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Rice Cemetery Association.
