Joyce Moore

Joyce Hollingsworth Moore, 75, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at home at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village Assisted Living in Corsicana.She was born May 10, 1935 near Frost, Texas to Roy and Ottis Hollingsworth and graduated from Frost High School. She married Charles W. Moore of Frost and in 1968 they settled near Blooming Grove where they raised their two daughters. She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church of Blooming Grove. Following the death of her husband in 2007 she moved to Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana where she renewed many friendships, made new friends and grew close to her new family of residents and staff. She was employed at Blooming Grove ISD as an aide and later worked many years as a ward clerk at Navarro Regional Hospital. She prided herself in her work and in taking care of her family and home. She was a devoted wife and mother.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Moore, her parents Roy and Ottis Hollingsworth and her brother Darrell Hollingsworth.She is survived by her daughters and their husbands Beverly and Howard Seely and Sherry and Mark Baggett all of Corsicana. She is also survived by her grandchildren Chris and Tamara Seely of Wylie, Jeremy and Brooke Seely of Hillsboro, Nicole Seely of Dallas, Joshua and Amber Baggett of Corsicana, and Dan and Jessica Seitzler of Dallas. She had 11 great-grand children. She is also survived by her sisters Brenda Evans of Blooming Grove, and Linda and Roland Southard of Avalon, Texas as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 26th from 6-8pm at Griffin Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.Funeral services will be at 10:00am Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Central Baptist Church in Blooming Grove, Texas with pastors Darren Heil and Grady Cashion officiating. Interment will be at Frost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roland Southard, Duane Evans, Rory Evans, Jon Thornhill, Ronald Hollingsworth and Mark Defrance.The family extends a great thank you to the individual caretakers at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village, Bethany Healthcare and Fresenies Dialysis Center.
