Beth Bailey Hudson

Beth Bailey Hudson, 64, of Kerens, Texas passed from this life on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Christus Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler. Beth Bailey Hudson was born on July 19th, 1958, in Monahans, TX to Charlie and Bessie May Bailey. She married Jeremy Hudson on March 8th, 1985. Together they have 5 children — Marcus Hudson, Lucy Selgas, Katie Payne, Monte Hudson, and Abby Nichols; 3 sons-in-law — Paden Selgas, Casey Payne, and Preston Nichols; and 6 grandchildren — Liam, Bailey, Randy, Felicity, Davy, and Jessy. She is survived by her siblings Paul Bailey, Alan Bailey, Don Bailey, and L'Von Qualls. Heaven gained a faithful saint this week. She was a child of God, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, and a friend. She was known as Beth to most, but more affectionately she was BB to her grandchildren and Mummy to her children. Her passing leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of so many whose lives she touched in various ways over the years. Words can't express the sorrow we feel, and the profound impact her absence will have. It will be felt so deeply by many. But we are comforted by knowing without a shadow of a doubt that she is resting with Jesus in heaven, singing the songs she most loved to sing. We know how happy she is being reunited with her parents Charlie and Bessie May, her son Marcus, and many loved ones her heart ached to see again. Beth was creative in many ways, though she never would have described herself as so. She took on countless knitting projects over the years, gifting the carefully knitted treasures to friends and family, most often newborns and babies. She loved the beach and was happiest there, second perhaps to sitting on the front porch watching the sunset at the family farm in Kerens. She looked forward to her daily pot of tea, searching for Bluebonnets, but most of all in her later years being with her family and especially her grandchildren, of whom she had 6. She will be sorely missed, but we rejoice that she fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith, and that she is now wearing her crown of righteousness. May God give us the strength to live in such a way that we see her again in heaven one day. What a joyful reunion that will be. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Sacred Selections adoption organization in Beth’s honor. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10:00am in the Chapel at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Following the service there will be a time to visit with her family till 12 noon prior to traveling to Troup, Texas. The family will have a graveside service at 2:30pm at the Pinecrest Cemetery in Troup.
