Greg Caton

Greg Caton was born on November 11, 1954 in Corsicana, Texas. He passed away on September 28 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas after a short but hard fought battle. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Catherine; son Benjamin and daughters Elizabeth and Camryn. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Whitener and Eddy; sister’s in law Patty Anne Canterbury and Joe, Trudy Coan and Frank and Scotty Moses and Phillip. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Ronnie (Tooter) Owens and Kim; Dustin Whitener and Jessica; Joe Canterbury and Christine; Embry Canterbury and Robyn; Tim Canterbury and Amy; Frank Coan and Jill; Scott Moses and Amanda; John Moses and Angela. He is also survived by nieces Rachel Gregory and Tom; Mary Love Garverick and Jamie; Katy Walker and Mark and Tricia Moses and Jack. He is also survived by a number of great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Benjamin Caton, Jr. and his mother Helen Marie Tally Caton. Greg loved life and he loved people. He was a musician who loved every type of music. He was always drumming whether it was on drums, pots and pans or the steering wheel of his car. There was always a drumbeat in his head. He was also an avid knife collector. But the thing Greg loved most was his family. His children may not have had him as long as they wanted, but they had the best there was. They were his life and they knew it. His sense of humor was known far and wide. He could make the driest person laugh and could sell ice to an Eskimo. Greg worked hard, played hard and loved hard. The world will not be as bright without him in it. He also loved his job at Dave Carter. Thank you for all your support during these last two weeks and all the years before. He considered them family too. Honorary pall bearers will be: Jim Wadle, Jimmy Pond, Kevin Sparks, Tommy Pryor, Joey Richards, Kelly Kerr, Mark Joyner, Gary Oliphant, Tommy Oliphant, Howard Oliphant, Randy Blue, Eddy Whitner and Dennis Allred. These men are old friends, new friends and family. They were with Greg at the end and he loved them all dearly
