Dustyn Blake Sandefer

Dustyn Blake Sandefer aged 16 passed away on August 27th, 2013. At the time of Blake’s passing he lived in Larue, Texas and attended LaPoynor High School, home of the fighting Flyers, where he had just embarked on his Junior year of High School. Better known as Blake to most of his friends and family, he was a lover of animals, games and people. Always willing to give a helping hand, the biggest hugs you could stand and the best laughs you have ever heard. Being the gentle giant he was, he crept into the hearts of many with his kind words albeit few and himself timid he was a one of a kind kiddo to say the least! Most importantly Blake IS, not WAS a great brother to his siblings always loving and watching over them…..their biggest cheerleaders from the sidelines. As a grandchild and great-grandchild he gave the family many reasons to boast and stick our chest out with pride, from traveling to Washington, DC at age 12 in the Young Leader’s Conference to his most recent nomination with plans to travel as a student ambassador to Australia in the summer of 2014. His greatest accomplishment in this lifetime was being my son. Blake was the best son. He always knew when his mother needed a hug, the right words of wisdom to calm me when nobody else could, helping carry groceries from the car, being the first eyes I saw when waking from surgery, comforting each of my fears and just plain being my all. Blake was loveable beyond words and loved more than he knew. He will be missed every second of every day in this lifetime and I pray that this original fighting Eagle with his Maroon & Gold pride has found his peace and understanding in the arms of our Heavenly father. Blake is survived by his father William Daniel Sandefer Sr. and his wife Gayle, his mother Christi Lynn Shirah and her husband CJ Shirah, Three brothers William Daniel Sandefer Jr, Buffalo, TX, Michael Stamper, Fairfield, TX and Jake Shirah of Tennessee. Three sisters Mikaela Jean Stamper, Fairfield, TX, Autumn Shirah, Larue, TX and Kiera Shirah, Gun Barrel, TX. Grandparents David and Amy Montgomery of Wimberley, TX., Kay Steber of Katy, TX., Kay Sandefer of Fairfield, TX., Patricia Shirah of Blounstown, Florida and Sherry Montgomery of Seattle, Washington; Great-Grandparents Rev. H.G. Montgomery deceased; Jean Montgomery Crosson and her husband Lonnie of Sweeny Texas and Johnnie Hoce and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins comprising a loving extending family.
